Custom Labels, Tags, and Trims That Finish the Product Properly

A garment can be cut beautifully and still feel unfinished when the label scratches, the hang tag bends, or the zipper pull looks borrowed from another brand. Those small parts sit close to the customer. They deserve the same care as the main product.

Packaging Mindz produces custom labels, tags, and trims for clothing lines, boutiques, accessory makers, uniform suppliers, subscription brands, and handmade businesses across the United States. We build each item around its job. A neck label should feel comfortable. A care label needs readable information. A hang tag has to carry the sales message without crowding it.

You can order from 100 units, and there is no fixed maximum quantity. Send us your artwork, required size, material preference, attachment method, and quantity. We’ll help turn that information into a production-ready specification.

Start With the Detail Your Product Is Missing

Labels and trims are not interchangeable decoration. Each one handles a different part of presentation, identification, use or construction. Choosing by purpose keeps the finished range consistent and avoids paying for a material that doesn’t suit the application.

Product option Best used for Common custom details
Woven labels Main brand marks and neck labels Logo, thread colors, fold style and sewing allowance
Printed labels Care text, fiber details and detailed artwork Fine text, symbols, size and variable information
Hang tags Pricing, product stories and retail display Card stock, holes, strings, printing and finishing
Patches Jackets, denim, hats, bags and uniforms Woven, embroidered, rubber, leather look or printed formats
Ribbons and tapes Gift presentation, waistbands and decorative use Repeated logo, width, color and cut length
Hardware and trims Closures and branded garment details Buttons, buckles, zipper pulls, cords and elastic

Woven or Printed Labels: Which One Fits Your Artwork?

Choose woven construction when the logo can be translated cleanly into thread. It gives brand names, simple icons, and solid color artwork a tactile finish. Damask style weaving can hold smaller details than a coarse weave, though extremely thin lines may still need adjustment.

Printed labels work better when your layout contains small care text, several symbols, gradients or information that weaving cannot reproduce clearly at the chosen size. Satin and other fabric options can be reviewed according to the desired hand feel and intended placement.

The fold changes installation as much as appearance. Straight cut labels sit flat. Center fold labels create a loop for a seam, while end fold formats provide sewing space on both sides. We’ll review the artwork and placement before production.

Build Hang Tags That Help Customers Decide

A hang tag has only a few seconds at the rack or unboxing table. Give each panel one clear job. The front can carry your brand mark. The reverse may hold a short product note, price area, barcode space, social handle, or website.

Available design directions may include:

  • Single or double-sided printing
  • Custom shapes and standard rectangles
  • Matte or gloss surface treatments
  • Foil, embossing or debossing where suitable
  • Die cut openings, eyelets, strings and seals
  • Barcode, QR code and variable data areas when specified

Treat Trims as Part of the Garment Design

Buttons, elastics, cords, ribbons, zipper pulls, buckles and patches can repeat a collection’s color and logo language beyond the main label. They also perform physical work. That changes the ordering conversation.

For a zipper pull, we need the zipper type, connection point, finish and pull dimensions. Elastic requires width, stretch expectation, and use location. A patch brief should state its placement and attachment method. Ask about sampling when texture, color, or fit needs closer inspection.

Put Required Garment Information Where Customers Can Read It

Brand labels sell identity. Care and content labels carry practical information. Keep those roles separate when one crowded label would make the type too small. For textile products sold in the United States, the information required can depend on the product, fiber content, and where it was processed or manufactured.

The FTC Care Labeling Rule requires covered garment manufacturers and importers to attach care instructions. FTC textile rules also address fiber content, business identity, and country of origin disclosures. Review your final wording with qualified compliance guidance for your exact product. The FTC care labeling guidance and FTC Textile Fiber Rule provide the starting requirements.

We print the approved information you provide, but Packaging Mindz does not decide the legal wording on your behalf.

One Specification Keeps the Whole Collection Consistent

Mixed trim orders go wrong when each component is approved in isolation. A warm gold foil may clash with a cool gold zipper pull. Two suppliers may interpret the same black differently. One label might use the old logo spacing.

Create a reference sheet listing the approved logo, PMS references where appropriate, dimensions, materials, folds, and placement notes. Thread, paper, fabric, and metal reflect color differently. For repeat orders, retain the final proof instead of relying on a photo.

From Artwork Review to Finished Order

Send a clear vector logo when available, plus your product list and quantities. We review text size, folds, edges, attachment points, and finishing requests before manufacturing. You’ll review a digital proof or mockup as appropriate. Production starts after approval and payment arrangements are complete.

General production takes about 15 to 25 days. Rush production may be available in 5 to 7 days, while a qualifying project may be completed in about 3 to 5 days after confirmation. Production time and shipping time are separate. Packaging Mindz offers air and sea freight options, plus free shipping.

What Is the Difference Between Woven and Printed Clothing Labels?
Woven labels form artwork with thread and suit simple logos. Printed labels place ink on fabric, making them better for fine text, gradients and care instructions.
A clothing label may need fiber content, care instructions, country of origin, business identity and size. Exact U.S. requirements depend on the garment and applicable FTC rules.
Packaging Mindz accepts custom label, hang tag, and trim orders starting at 100 units. There is no fixed maximum, so larger production runs can also be quoted.
Yes, they can follow shared artwork and PMS references where suitable. Paper, thread, fabric and metal reflect color differently, so samples may help confirm the combination.
General production takes about 15 to 25 days. Rush production may take 5 to 7 days when confirmed. Shipping time is calculated separately from production.
