Custom Cup Sleeves for Coffee Shops, Cafes, and Food Service Brands
Your customer picks up a hot drink. For the next several minutes, your sleeve is the only thing in their hand. Not the cup. Not the lid. The sleeve. That’s the one surface doing the branding work, and most businesses either leave it blank or miss what it can do.
Packaging Mindz manufactures custom cup sleeves designed for hot beverages, built for everyday food service use, and printed to carry your brand through every order.
The Sleeve Is the Only Packaging Your Customer Actually Holds
Most hot beverage packaging gets set down on a counter or table within seconds. The sleeve stays. A customer walking out with a branded coffee sleeve carries your logo past every person between the counter and wherever they’re headed.
That’s not a minor detail for a café doing 300 cups a day. That’s 300 branded impressions before noon, and the unit cost on a printed cardboard cup sleeve is low enough that it changes nothing about your per-cup margin.
Custom coffee cup sleeves earn their place because they protect the hand, identify the brand, and cost less per unit than almost any other printed packaging your operation touches.
Kraft or Coated White Stock: Which Material Fits Your Sleeve?
The stock you choose affects both print quality and brand perception. We produce cup sleeves in two primary cardboard materials:
Kraft Cardboard (300 to 350 GSM)
Natural brown tone. Prints cleanly with one to four spot colors. Biodegradable and food-safe. This is the material running in most independent cafés and mid-size coffee chains across the U.S. market. If your brand works with earth tones, simple logos, or minimal design, kraft is the right call.
White Coated Cardboard (300 to 350 GSM)
Better color reproduction across the full print range. White stock handles photographic artwork, gradient designs, and brand colors that need accurate CMYK matching. The surface holds ink more precisely than uncoated kraft, which matters when your design includes fine detail or tight color specs.
Both options are food-safe, heat-resistant for standard hot beverages, and cut to fit the cup diameter you’re running.
What Printing Method Works for Your Order Volume?
Print method depends on your order quantity and design complexity. We don’t push every order through the same press.
| Print Method | Best Fit | Color Output |
| Digital Printing | Short to mid runs, detailed artwork | Full CMYK |
| Flexographic Printing | High-volume orders, clean 1-4 color designs | Spot colors |
| Offset Printing | Large volume, Pantone color matching required | Full color, Pantone |
A new café ordering 1,000 sleeves with a detailed logo runs on digital. A regional chain ordering 50,000 units with a two-color design moves to flexographic. We confirm the right method when you request a quote, based on your quantity and artwork.
Standard Size Chart: Matching the Sleeve to Your Cup Diameter
Cup sleeves fit by diameter, not cup height. A sleeve sized for a 12 oz cup won’t seat properly on a 16 oz cup, even if the sleeve physically slides on. We die-cut every sleeve template to match your cup’s exact diameter so it grips the cup without slipping or bunching.
| Cup Size | Fits Standard Hot Cup |
| 8 oz | Yes |
| 10 oz | Yes |
| 12 oz | Yes |
| 16 oz | Yes |
| 20 oz | Yes |
| 24 oz | Yes |
Non-standard cup sizes run on a custom die-cut template. If you’re sourcing cups from a specialty supplier with non-standard diameters, send us the cup measurements when you request a quote and we will build the template around your specific cup.
Finishing Options That Change How the Sleeve Reads in Hand
The finish on a printed cup sleeve changes how customers perceive your brand before they read a single word. A matte sleeve feels different from a gloss sleeve. Both send a different signal.
We offer the following finishing options on coated white stock:
- Matte Lamination: Low glare, clean look, soft surface feel. Common in specialty coffee and minimalist brand presentations.
- Gloss Lamination: High sheen, vivid color, durable surface. Works well with bold color schemes and photography-heavy designs.
- Soft-touch Lamination: Velvet-like surface texture. Less common on standard disposable cup sleeves, but used by premium coffee and hospitality brands.
- Spot UV Coating: Gloss coating applied selectively over specific design elements, logo marks, or text. Creates contrast against a matte base finish.
- Foil Stamping: Gold, silver, or custom foil color on specific design areas. Used on specialty or seasonal sleeve editions.
- Embossing and Debossing: Raised or recessed texture on the sleeve surface.
Uncoated kraft sleeves ship without lamination by default. Matte and gloss lamination are available on kraft when the design calls for a surface coat.
From Artwork Approval to Delivered Order: How Production Works
Once you request a quote and confirm your spec, our design team prepares the die-line template for your cup size. If you’re supplying your own artwork, we review the file for print accuracy before anything goes to press. We accept Adobe Illustrator (.ai), high-resolution PDF, and EPS files.
If you don’t have print-ready artwork, we build the sleeve layout from your logo and brand assets. Design support is included with your order. You approve a digital proof before production starts. Nothing goes to print without your sign-off.
Standard production runs 15 to 25 working days from artwork approval to complete production. We confirm the timeline with every order because it depends on the current production schedule and print method. Rush timelines may be available for specific quantities. We ship finished orders to business addresses across the United States.
Food Service Businesses That Order Custom Cup Sleeves From Us
Custom coffee cup sleeves aren’t exclusive to cafés. The food service accounts we produce for most include:
- Independent coffee shops and café chains running branded hot drink programs.
- Quick service restaurants adding brand identity to their hot beverage line.
- Hotels and corporate catering programs serving branded hot drinks at events.
- Food trucks and farmers’ market vendors running seasonal beverage service.
- Event planners ordering personalized cup sleeves for branded corporate experiences.
- Office and campus food service programs with branded beverage stations.
The sleeve spec stays the same across all of them. The artwork, quantity, and stock choice change per account.
Why Food Service Brands Across the U.S. Work With Packaging Mindz
We manufacture the packaging. We don’t broker it. That means you’re working with the production team directly, not a reseller quoting you a margin-padded price. Every order goes through a proof review before we cut a single sheet of stock. If the artwork has a problem, we catch it before it costs you anything. You see exactly what will print before production begins.
We produce custom cup sleeves for single-location coffee shops and multi-unit food service accounts at the same production standard. Volume doesn’t change the quality threshold.
